Breitling at Baselworld

We’ve already looked at the new Bremont releases to be heralded by Baselworld here on our blog, and now it is the turn of Breitling to take centre stage. Breitling were relatively secretive about their new Baselworld 2014 timepieces, and so we weren’t entirely sure what to expect from them; other than inevitable workmanship of premium quality. Typically though, they have excelled themselves, and they have unveiled three new watches that look certain to become instant classics. This is all the more likely as the new arrivals are all members of either the Navitimer family or the Chronomat collection, and both of these ranges represent the zenith of Breitling’s portfolio.

Breitling Navitimer 01 46 mm

Seen as Breitling’s longstanding flagship range, Breitling Navitimer watches are at the pinnacle of mechanical chronograph technology, and so it is all the more remarkable to see how Breitling continually refines the series to ever greater heights. Breitling specialises in bold, larger-than-life chronometers, and in fulfilment of this trend they have announced a new Navitimer with an enlarged size of 46 mm, and more powerful capabilities as a result. The more generous dial gives it unmatched presence on the wrist, and the venerated black Navitimer dial uses a revolutionary technique upon a silver backdrop to offer unprecedented clarity and radiance. We’re very proud to be able to bring you the Breitling Navitimer 01 46mm stainless steel watch, and this new masterpiece in watchmaking contains the Breitling Caliber 01 movement; one of the finest self-winding chronographs of its type. Soon to be in stock at Banks Lyon for 36 monthly payments of £133.11 alongside a 20% deposit, a limited edition Breitling Navitimer 01 46mm red gold watch has also been produced for £16,940, and only 200 of these singular wristwatches will ever be at large.

Breitling Navitimer GMT

The Navitimer is a legendary timepiece that fully justifies the many revisions that it has received; in fact a large part of its success comes from the frequent evolutions that it has undergone. With that fact clearly in mind, Breitling have revealed yet another Navitimer watch at Baselworld 2014, and this icon of ocular horology has now been fitted with a GMT dual time-zone system that is totally adjustable. With an even larger diameter of 48 mm to optimise visibility, this high-performance chronometer utilises the traditional Navitimer slide rule to enable a plethora of airborne calculations to be conducted. Additionally though, this model houses the Breitling Caliber B04 movement, enabling the convenient setting of any function simply by way of the innovative crown, and the interior workings of this movement can all be seen through the enhanced exhibition caseback. We are very pleased to be receiving the Breitling Navitimer GMT watch in stock at Banks Lyon, and this new chapter in the history of the Navitimer will be available for 36 monthly payments of £146.67 and a 20% deposit. We are also able to offer a limited edition Breitling Navitimer GMT red gold watch as well, and this exclusive chronometer, restricted to just 200 watches in circulation, retails at £18, 840.

Breitling Chronomat Airborne

Breitling Chronomat watches have always been a favourite with the Banks Lyon staff, and so we were delighted to see Breitling round off their Baselworld 2014 assortment with the new Chronomat Airborne. Intended to commemorate the third decade that the Chronomat range has been in production, the Airborne series draws inspiration from the original and well-loved Frecce Tricolori chronograph of yesteryear, and is rendered instantly memorable by way of a satin-brushed bezel with accompanying rider tabs to observe flight times. Fashioned to be usable even when the owner is wearing gloves, this sophisticated chronometer is being rolled out in both 41 mm and 44 mm sizes, with variant dials also accessible to allow a touch of personality. The caseback of each Airborne is etched with a celebratory inscription and the outline of an ‘Aermacchi’ Italian aircraft, and a military style strap has finally been called upon to maximise functionality. It is a testament to the Chronomat’s appeal that it is now on an equal footing with the Navitimer, and you can view two Airborne variants for both the Chronomat 44 and 41 by visiting our Baselworld 2014 Releases page. Please be sure to keep a close eye on this page to stay informed about all of our latest arrivals, and don’t hesitate to call us on 01524 38 48 58 if you have any queries about our vast collection of Breitling watches.
